US original, TRLP 30 with black/gold labels. No booklet. Record in fine shape save for a sharp scratch that ticks for the first 25 seconds of side A, rest plays well with a few odd ticks only. Cover has full splits on top and bottom seam, spine is a bit worn but hold together. Basic shelf wear and small worn spots on back. Compilation from 1957 with the cream of the artists who recorded for this collectable label: Sun Ra, Donald Byrd, John Pepper Adams, Cecil Taylor etc. The list of sidemen is equally impressive. UK later pressing from 1971 with blue & gold MGM labels, unpeelable banana.Shiny record with a few light scuffs only. Cover has just a hint of ringwear. Their famous banana album, such a classic record including "I'm waiting for the man" and "Heroin".
