Second album by this Swedish jazz quartet featuring Elin Forkelid, David Stackenäs, Mauritz Agnas and Anna Lund. A solid listen through all four sides, especially "Canada" and "Interface" are great. This is the second release on the Sail Cabin label, following Forkelid's excellent "Plays For Trane" from 2020. PLEASE NOTE: These are brand new copies from the label but all or most copies seem to have a dish warp from manufacturing, plays well on our equipment.
Their 2nd album from 1973 with Placebo-like downtempo funky fusion on "Danse Russe" and the Brazilian-styled "La folia". A few minor surface marks on record. Cover has light wear + official "2"-sticker on front. Swedish only original.

Record has lots of light marks, plays with some surface noise and odd clicks. Cover has corner/edge wear, creasing, split top and bottom seam, writing on back. Killer new version of Red Astaire's (RIP) edit masterpiece. Soul Supreme re-makes it with respect to the original but gives it a slightly more boogiefied feel. "Follow my samba" takes the original latin sample in a lovely jazz/bossa style.
Electronic fusion/jazz funk from Noam Ofir, some tracks with a head-noddy vibe and others sounding a bit like a jazzier version of Dam-Funk's updated electro/funk/boogie sound. Check the version of Cortex's "Huit Octobre 1971" and "Born with a Desire". 2nd pressing from 2022, still sealed copy.
"Iron Stick" nice, uplifting bossa fusion. "Sai Dessa" vocal bossa nova. LP from 1986 with Staffan Abeleen and Tommy Koverhult. Swedish only original, with printed inner sleeve.
The debut album from seasoned Stockholm record/music man Niclas Wretelid. A mix of soulful vocal tunes and funky instros, including the excellent single sides "World" and "Natural feeling" plus the sounds-like-a-hit "Talkin' bout". Well worth checking if you're into the current stuff from Daptone/Colemine/Timmion.
The second album from the Soul Tune stable, featuring vocals from Carlton J Smith, Maria Sanchez and Desmond Foster. Quite a varied affair, ranging from subtle midtempo soul to mellow instrumentals and uptempo funk. "Oh your love" is a delicious piece of sweet/crossover soul, check that and the instro "Smiling & crying".
Traditional Cuban ensemble meets electronic music duo from the UK on LP from 2017. Sleeve marks, plays alright. Cover has small rip on opening back. Cuban original.
