Compilation from 1973 with one man band Joe Hill Louis and two tracks with Willie Nix. Primitive, raw and great! Listen to "Nappy Head Woman". Record in superb shape. Cover has very light wear, minor tape residue on front.
Two fantastic Warren Schatz productions from the mid-70s, originally pressed up in just a handful of copies on the Trilogy label. The A-side is a haunting ballad, the flip is a storming modern/disco dancer (here slighly slower than on the original 45). Reissue.

Popular early-70s disc from Joe, lovely midtempo dance tune. Tiny mark causes 3-4 clicks midway. Minimal chip on outer edge, nowhere near the playing grooves. Some ring wear on labels. US original, vinyl issue.

His first solo album, from 1970. Listen to "Ghost story" or "Big white cloud". Cover has ring/rub wear, a couple of small paper bubbles, horizontal creas on front. US 2nd pressing with red/yellow label.
Some trippy cosmic electronica here, useful for mind expansion or sampling. Listen to "Up the wall" or the proto-techno track "Chase across the 69th St bridge". A few minor marks, plays well. No sticker on cover, unlike photo (instead a faint residue mark and some edge wear). Swedish original, white label version.
US stereo original, AS 6 with orange/black Am-Par labels and RVG stamped in dead wax. Record has light sleeve scuffs and some dirt in the grooves. Could benefit from a proffesional cleaning. It plays ok but some background noise at A-side. Cover has tiny lamination peeling at front, a bit of wear inside the foldout plus tiny wear on the back. Coltrane classic with the fantastic "Greensleeves".
Jazz set recorded 1958 with Donald Byrd, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Art Taylor. Listen to"Black Pearls". Japanese reissue from 1977, SMJ-6561 with insert but no obi.
Lovely jazz album from 1960. "Harmonique" is the best track for me. Japanese reissue from 1971, P-6044A with insert but no obi.
US mono original, Atlantic 1354 with orange/purple label and white fan (no "R" above white fan) and 157 West-address on back cover. No deep groove on this copy. Record has sleeve marks and some lightly feelable scratches, plays with occassional clicks and ticks but still quite enjoyable. Cover has some rub/shelf wear and small vintage price tag on back. Lovely jazz album from 1960. "Harmonique" is the best track for me.
Recorded in 1958 with Cecil Taylor and Kenny Dorham. Check Dorham's "Shifting down" plus a fine version of "Like someone in love". US later stereo pressing, SS 18025, first released as "Hard driving jazz" by Cecil Taylor Quintet. Postage as for two records due to heavy gatefold cover. Tape marks inside gatefold.
US mono pressing, A-42 with orange/black Abc Paramount Inc label. US pressing from 1965 (of 1963 original). Record with some light scuffs, affect play slighly at intro of "India". Glossy cover has minor wear primarly inside the foldout. Fantastic Coltrane LP with the mighty "Impressions" and "India".
