Ivory Coast soukous with a superb atmoshere on "Min nouan". Lots of marks on vinyl, still retains decent gloss and plays enjoyably despite some background crackle. Cover has rub wear and some miscoloration, edge/corner wear, small split on bottom. Small sticker on back. Ivory Coast original.

D.O. 7 SHIRATI JAZZ - TRIBUTE TO HEROES:
Benga LP from 1977 by this legendary group from Kenya. Listen to "Tan'Guru Kodgi". LOTS of marks on record, still plays acceptable with constant background crackle and some occasional ticks and thuds. Cover has a full seam split, heavy storage wear and two faint stamps. Rare Nigerian original.

Haitian duo on a 1979 album. US original, cover in shrink (no sticker, unlike photo).

CHRISTY ESSIEN - GIVE ME A CHANCE:
Nigerian LP from 1980 including the disco funk gems "Rumours" and "Nobody Can Stop You", both surefire dancefloor movers. Record has lots of marks and light scratches, plays OK with a little background noise and some low pops. Cover with the usual heavy storage and edge wear + writing on front. Nigerian original.

CHOC STARS - ROBOTI ROBOTA 2E EPISODE:
"Masamu wadiez" is nice with it's infectious guitar licks. Record is visually very clean with almost no wear but it skips briefly at A1 and B1. Maybe will play perfect with higher preassure at the needle? France original.

CHIEF HONOURABLE VINCENT UGABI DANCE BAND OF AGENEBODE - VBANOGBOMEH NO 1:
Highlife from 1984, check the awesome "Vbanogbomeh"! Record is unusually clean for this type of title, close to EX on the surface. Dish warp noticeable on side 2, still plays fine. Cover has some edge/corner wear, average ring wear, 7 cm rip on opening. Nigerian original.

BROTHER NAT AIDOO SIKADU KOFI - OBI ABAYEWA:
Nigerian highlife on the Tabansi label. LOTS of marks on record, plays through with prominent crackle and tics, some brief skips may occur on some turntables. Cover has edge-, storage wear and browning.

BONY PASCAL ET LES CANTADORS DE LA CAPITALE - ABIDJAN PROBLÈMES:
Rare Ivorian LP with a great sound inbetween soukous and highlife. Check the deep "Nanan Bony". Record has marks and scuffs, plays fine with a little bit of soft background crackle. Minimal tear on label. Cover has heavy edge + ring wear, grime and a half upper seam split. Ivorian original, black/orange labels.

BLACK STALIN - JUST FOR OPENERS:
Double 12" with afro/caribbean disco stuff. Best for me is the tropical dancefloor shaker "De jam". Gatefold sleeve has ring wear on back, tearing on bottom right front (not in photo), partial edge wear, 6 cm split on top seam. US original.

BELLA BELLOW - ALBUM SOUVENIR:
Fairly hard to find LP from this great singer from Togo. Quite soulful folk music with some tracks arranged by Manu Dibango. Try the deep "O se nye" or the funkier "Awula". Record has pretty much sleeve scuffs, plays ok but not perfect. Cover has small sticker upper right corner at front (not on site photo). France original.

Soukous from 1979. Lots of marks and light scratches on record, but plays much better than looks with a a little background crackle in parts. Discolored sleeve with edge wear and some tears. Ivorian original.

ASTER AWEKE - MULU / ETETU BEREDEGNE:
Absolutely spellbinding Ethio sounds from 1977, especially on the B-side "Etetu Beredegne". Vinyl is VG to VG+, glossy with some light marks, plays great. Clean labels, 4-prong centre intact. Ethiopian original with plain sleeve.

AYALEW MESFIN - HASABE / HEDECH GARA ZURA:
"Hasabe" is an absolute bomb - jazzy Ethio funk that tears a dancefloor right up! Coloured vinyl has LOTS of marks and a tiny chip on outer edge, still plays pretty well - sounds better the louder you crank it up. Plenty of label wear, small writing on A-side, tape residue on B-side. Ethiopian original (with Made in Greece printed on labels, as with many Ethiopian records).

TILAHUN GESSESSE / MAHMOUD AHMED - AMSALU / TETERATERSHE ENDE:
"Teteratershe Ende" by Mahmoud Ahmed - fantastic and deep ethio funk tune on this rare 7". Record has some nasty marks but stills plays decent with lighter clicks on the regular - check soundclip. Ethiopian original in PLAIN sleeve.

MULUKEN MELESSE - TENESH KELEBE LIE / EMBWA BELLEW:
Killer Ethio funk on a rare 7" from 1975, make sure to check "Tenesh Kelebe Lie". On the flip a more traditional yet enjoyable tune. Vinyl in POOR shape, covered with scratches and plays with background noise and pops most of the time. No skips or repeats though. Writing on labels. Ethiopan original, AE 980, NO picture sleeve.

Very charming 1968 sound out of Zambia. Solid copy with centre intact.

KINTUENI DI MAYOMBE - KUMBUZI MBENGO / NGODINGODI ABC:
Traditional Congolese music on a rare 45. Lots of marks and scuffs on record, plays with mild background noise and some light pops , B-side plays cleaner. Zairean original.

JUWATA JAZZ BAND - KAKA ADAM:
Tanzanian traditional music sung in swahili. Kenyan original.

EAGLES LUPOPO - MITARO USONI / UKURASA WA SABA:
Early-70s 45 with two nice sides full of guitar-strumming and vocal harmonies. Kenyan original.

"De alegria raiou o dia" killer soulful Brazilian tune that starts with a drumbreak. Some other nice tunes on the album as well. LP in fine shape with light sleeve scuffs, bordering to EX. Cover has two small stickers on front, one small sticker at back plus wear at spine. Lower left corner a bit bent. One label has sticker and the other has sticker tear from removed sticker. Brasilian original.

Just simply the best, sublime vocal version that exists of "Upa neguinho". Starts slow but builds beautifully. Records in fine shape with light superficial lines. Cover has wrinkles and edge wear. Brazilian original.

ANTONIO CARLOS JOBIM & SERGIO MENDES - SAME / MEV 12:
Great bossa jazz set from 1967 featuring Hubert Laws, Phil Woods and Art Farmer. A mix of instrumental and vocal tunes - check"Água De Beber" and "O Morro Não Tem Vez". Strong VG+ record with just light storage marks, plays well with minor occassional hiss from pressing (not very bad). Fragile thin paper cover is in great shape, very nice and clean. Brazilian original, MEV 12 with black/white Elenco labels.

One of her best albums, including the excellent "Tereza sabe sambar" and a great version of "Roda". Record has marks and lines, plays ok with minor background crackle and odd ticks. Cover has basic wear/aging and a name tag on back. Missing the original plastic bag. Brazilian mono original.

Brazilian vocal group with 4 girls and two guys. (Brazil's Novi Singers!). Contains the beautiful Joyce-penned "Lado do avesso". Record is very clean. Cover has edge wear, primarly on back. Brazilian original.

VARIOUS - VELHA BOSSA NOVA:
I love this comp, it was one of the first Brazilian albums I bought myself 30 years ago and I still listen to it frequently. The tracks are all from the 60's with wonderful bossa jazz to sublime vocal tracks. Listen to Conjunto Mario Castro Neves stunning "Vem balancar" or "Chora tua tristeza" by Alaida Costa. The originals of these are all rare and expensive plus a nightmare to find in clean shape. LP has many small scuffs, plays alright with slight background crackle. Cover has creasing and edge wear.

QUARTETO EM CY - SAME:
Fine vocal bossa LP from 1966 with overall a laidback, folky sound. Listen to their version of "Canto de Ossanha". Beutiful copy with obi. High quality Japanese reissue from 1994.

Jazzy bossa instrumental versions of ever-greens by Jorge Ben (check "Por Causa De Você Menina"), Antonio Jobim, Roberto Menescal and more. Record plays well with only a few light hairlines. Cover has some moisture damage which caused edge wear and a partial seam split, darkening on back. Quite rare Brazilian original from 1964.
