Lovely 60s soul with fab arrangements from Joe Renzetti and a young Kenny Gamble. "I found out too late" and "Who do you love" are truly magnificent. LP is glossy with a few clusters of surface marks, nothing deep, plays well with just a few stray clicks. Cover has a little creasing and wear around corners, looks alright. US mono original.

CHARLIE WHITEHEAD - WHITEHEAD AT YELLOWSTONE:
Rare soul/funk album from 1977 featuring Swamp Dogg, Clayton Ivey, Travis Wammack etc. Check the driving "I finally found myself something to sing about" and the mellow "People tell me I'm losing my baby" with some great horns. Cover has 3-4 cm split middle bottom edge. Tiny tear on B-side label. US original.

Awesome soul album from 1970, the rarest and best on the Turbo label. Includes fantastic tunes like "Having you around", "Tell me your name", "Sweet memories" and "Don't take your love from me". Absolutely solid 1970 album with personal picks in "I didn't know" and "One in a million". Top musicians as Vince Montana, Bobby Eli, Thom Bell and the rest of the Philly elite. Scarce album from 1977 with lovely modern soul on "Simply beautiful" and "Answer my prayer". One of the rarest Prelude albums. Top copy in shrink (unlike website photo). Later Canadian pressing.

Light scratch (can barely be felt) in the last third of side 1, I can't hear it cause more than a couple of soft ticks. Cover looks ok on front and back but grades low VG due to pretty big splits on top & bottom seam. US original.

Superb comp of mellow indie soul, including a heap of highly sought-after 45 rarities and two previously unissued alternate versions. Fantastic songs by Stride ("Come inside"), Joe Walker ("We need each other") Aka Shaic, Small Society, Spice, Nature's Choice etc. Recommended!

TOMMIE YOUNG - DO YOU STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY:
Japanese pressing from 1983 containing material not on the US issue, including the great 70s soul dancer "I'm not gonna cry anymore"! Best known of course for the crossover bomb "Hit and run lover". Different cover to the US pressing, and sounds superb. Record is like new, cover has a little edge wear. With insert, no obi.

KELLY BROTHERS - SWEET SOUL:
Sought-after 60's soul album from a legendary group. Check "That's what you mean to me" and the monster northern dancer "Cryin' days are over". Cover has some wear on top seam and faint miscoloration/ageing on back. US 2nd issue from the 70s, blue labels.

SYL JOHNSON - BACK FOR A TASTE OF YOUR LOVE:
1973 album by this giant in soul music, produced by Willie Mitchell. Contains great Memphis stuff as "I let a good girl go", "Anyway the wind blows" and "The love you left behind". Cover has a few small lamination bubbles and some ring wear on back. UK original.

"When the fuel runs out" killer modern soul/pre-disco and "You got it" a good funky soul tune. Recorded in the US but only released in Europe. Top Philly production from Bobby Martin and Baker/Harris/Young. German original.
