US mono pressing, BLP 1535 with Lexington-address on labels and cover but vinyl has beaded rim and not flat edge = very early 2nd pressing. Deep groove on both sides, RVG and ear in dead wax. No frame on front cover, blank spine. Record has some light sleeve marks and scuffs, nothing deep and plays well with minor distractions only. Cover has full split and some fraying on top seam, slight wear on bottom seam and spine, shelf wear and small worn spots front and back, staining on back, minor wear and a few tiny rips on opening edge plus stamp on back. Classic Blue Note indemander with the brilliant 50s jazz track "Afrodisia" but the whole album is nice!

US early 2nd issue with BLP 5038 with Lexington-address on labels. Flat edge and deep groove on both sides, ear in dead wax. With 2nd generation cover with linear notes on back. Released same year as the first issue in 1954. Record has plenty of surface marks and scrathes, plays decent but occasional light ticks and background noise. Front cover with only minor wear, back cover has stamp on back at white area. Seams and spine a bit worn and has 3-4 cm split at lower seam.Wonderful live session with Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, Horace Silver and Curly Russell. Listen to "Mayreh".
US mono original with 47 West 63rd address, record number BLP 4001. It has deep groove on both sides, RVG and ear. No "r" on label. Cover has "47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address" on back. Record has quite much surface scuffs and marks but nothing deep and it plays very nice. Front cover has a few long thin lines plus corner wear. Back cover has small stain lower right corner, paper tear lower left corner. Spine is fine but has 1 cm wear on top and 3 cm wear lower part. Both seams are in genereal ok but with minor paper loss. Great album with Wynton Kelly, Doug Watkins & Philly Joe Jones. Listen to "Tune up" or "Blues for Philly Joe".

Great 1960 album with Jackie McLean, Hank Mobley and Duke Pearson. Listen to the superb "Ghana" and "My Girl Shirl".

Plenty of marks and lines on record, plays with background noise and occasional clicks but still better than it looks. Cover looks on front, backside cover has paper loss, writings, small stamp and is a bit dirty looking. Both seams has splits about 10 cm. Spins is ok. Superb jazz classic from 1961 with Duke Pearson, Pepper Adams, Lex Humphries and Laymon Jackson. My favourite is "My Girl Shirl".
Us stereo original with 47 West 63rd St. address on label. BST 84049. Has deep groove, ear and RVG plus the "R" under the E in Blue Note. Record in top shape and looks hardly played at all. However has one small dot in the vinyl probably from pressing at B1 where it clicks eight times. The laminated front cover looks lovely, tiny bump at the lower right corner. Beautiful copy that would pass as M-/M- at many places. Great Blue Note set from 1960 with the classic title track! Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Timmons & Jymie Merritt join Art Blakey in a superb line-up.

Cover is strong VG with lamination flaking at opening front, mild sun fading and miscolouration plus small stain mark and minor paper rips on back. Cover has minor wear to upper and lower right corners. Seams and spine are fully intact but has tiny color loss. Backside cover upper left corner has two minor discoloration stains on white area. A truly beautiful copy of this indemand title. Great album with Lee Morgan, Jackie McLean, Bobby Hutcherson, Bob Cranshaw & Anthony Williams. Features excellent jazz cuts as "The coaster" and "Air raid".

LP in fine shape with a few soft paper scuffs plays and looks great, close to EX. Front cover has some corner wear otherwise lovely. Back cover has tiny ring wear. Upper seam is in great shape but has minimal wear to the right. Lower seam is fine but has tiny paper loss less than 1 cm at the start. Spine also looks lovely. Labels are perfect. With Grant Green, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. Listen to "Don't take your love from me".

The laminated cover has small bent corner and a few stains on back - looks nice overall. Quality 1961 Blue Note set with Freddie Hubbard, Horace Parlan, George Tucker and Al Harewood. Listen to the great "It's You Or No One".
US mono original, BLP 4112 with New York USA-labels. Van Gelder and ear in dead wax. Record is a nice with few and light marks only, still shiny and black and plays very loud and clear! The laminated cover looks very nice on front but has one tiny discoloration dot upper left corner. Seams and spine are fine but upper seam towards the left side 2-3 cm split. Backside cover has tipex white dots at white areas around the song titles. One tiny paper loss upper left corner on back as well. Still a very nice copy. 60s jazz with Sonny Clark, Butch Warren & Billy Higgins. "Cheese cake" and the version of "Love for sale" are great!

Record looks lovely with minimal sign of wear. Cover in great shape except for neat fraying at spine and seams plus mild ring wear on front. Beutiful copy of this classic. Top album with Donald Byrd & Herbie Hancock. My favorite is "East of the village" but the whole LP is quality.

Lovely 60s jazz with Wayne Shorter, Harold Mabern, Bob Cranshaw & Billy Higgins. Contains the killer track "The Gigolo".
US original, BST 84382 with blue/white United Artists labels. Record in fine shape with only tiny surface lines. It plays fine except for one brief skip at intro of A1. Cover has some minor edge wear but looks nice in shrink. High quality funky jazz/fusion set. "Mystic brew" is the big track, as used by A Tribe Called Quest. Check "Chunky" and "Two headed freap" as well.
US stereo original with blue & white liberty labels, BST 84259. Record in top shape with two soft hairlines only. Cover looks lovely in shrink. Best copy we ever had of this LP. Quality jazz album together with Hank Mobley, Billy Higins, Sonny Red etc. Listen to the fine "Eldorado".

Backside cover has stamp at white area and discoloration from removed sticker. Classic funky jazz set from 1967, listen to "The Humpback".

Cover has light ring wear, 8-9 cm split at upper seam, writings on back. "Pot belly" funky organ jazz tune with breakbeat drums and deep bass. Much used in hip hop.
US original, BST 84318 with blue/white Liberty labels and Van Gelder in dead wax. Record in fine shape bordering Ex grade. Cover has ring wear and stains on front. Inside fold out there's huge "Audition copy" stamp. Backside cover has ring wear. LOwer seam has smal split. "Who's Making Love" and "Turtle Walk" funky organ jazz numbers on this 1969 LP with Charles Earland and Melvin Sparks.

Recorded in 1970 but never released until 1995. The music is up there with the best of his 70's material. A strong recommendation if you like his other LP's from this time - listen to the wonderful "Kofi". Vinyl is VG+ to EX, nice copy. Cover has some creasing on bottom front. US original.
