Superb album and one of the true holy grails of European jazz. Listen to the version of McCoy Tyner's "Aisha" and the Coltrane-ish "Yogiana" but the whole album is great. LP in great shape but has one small but deep scratch at "Aisha" that clicks a few times. Deleted reissue of ultra rare German original, great sound and beautifully packaged in tri-fold cover (just as the original). Single LP but postage as for two records due to heavy tri-fold cover.

KENNY DORHAM SEPTET - BLUE SPRING / MONO:
US mono original with blue label, mic & reel logo, RLP 12-297 has deep groove. Record is shiny and beautiful but has some softer spindle wear, plays fine except some ticks first minute of B3. Also a few ticks at A1 first part. Cover is fine front and back but upper seam is very torn and with 5 cm split. Lower seam and spine is worn as well. "Spring is here" is beautiful.

One side features a quintet, the other a large ensemble - listen to "Composition 28" and "Litany for the 14th of June, 1966" respectively. Clean record. Cover has light ringwear. First German pressing that's quite seldom seen, released after the very rare Dutch original on Relax.

JOHN COLTRANE - AFRICA BRASS / STEREO:
US stereo original, AS 6 with orange/black Am-Par labels and RVG stamped in dead wax. Record has light sleeve scuffs and some dirt in the grooves. Could benefit from a proffesional cleaning. It plays ok but some background noise at A-side. Cover has tiny lamination peeling at front, a bit of wear inside the foldout plus tiny wear on the back. Coltrane classic with the fantastic "Greensleeves".

Modern classic that blew up big when it came out in 1998. Contains the mellow "Ex-factor" and more hits as "Doo wop (that thing)" and "Everything is everything". Both LPs are in nice shape. Cover has some tearing on front and a shop sticker on front & back. European original, with printed inner sleeves (partly split).

US stereo pressing, AS-30 with orange/black ABC-Paramount Inc label, Van Gelder in dead wax. Early but later pressing released same year, 1963 as the Am-Par original. Record has pretty much sleeve scuffs but not to bad and it plays fine. The glossy foldout cover has minor lamination peeling on front. Wonderful soft jazz LP including the stunning version of "In A Sentimental Mood" and "Take The Coltrane".

This reissue adds two bonus tracks ("At The Feast" and "Nicodemus") plus longer versions of some of the other tunes. Records in fine shape, cover shows light signs of use only. This is the Simply Vinyl-issue from 2000.
