9TH CREATION - BUBBLE GUM:
Scarce first issue of LP that was re-released as "Falling in love", then with a different cover. "Bubble gum" classic funk tune with a well-sampled intro! "Rule of mind" is also great, plus some more nice soul tunes. Record is clean. Bottom half of cover is bubbly due to water damage, but there is no tearing and no bad staining.

US stereo pressing, AS-30 with orange/black ABC-Paramount Inc label, Van Gelder in dead wax. Early but later pressing released same year, 1963 as the Am-Par original. Record has pretty much sleeve scuffs but not to bad and it plays fine. The glossy foldout cover has minor lamination peeling on front. Wonderful soft jazz LP including the stunning version of "In A Sentimental Mood" and "Take The Coltrane".

Cover is strong VG with lamination flaking at opening front, mild sun fading and miscolouration plus small stain mark and minor paper rips on back. Killer version of a superb song (more famously done by The Spinners). Flipside is a tough mod dancer. Rare Swedish-only 45 from 1966. Record has minor marks. "Sweet thing" plays well throughout, but the flipside has background noise for a short patch. Picture sleeve has some wear and a tiny split. Centre is missing.

Dark, moody jazz rock fusion LP with heavy drums and quirky synthesizers. Featuring great musicians like Kenny Wheeler, Gordon Beck, Paddy Kingsland and Norma Winstone. Listen to "Naxos" (which reminds me of "Roots") or "Bull-Dance". Record has some light marks, plays ok with mild occassional background crackle. Cover has a sticker residue mark on front, a bit of creasing plus some wear to edges and corners, looks decent overall. Gangsta album from 1991 - check the tough "2 Skanless" and the slick "Sitting in the park", sampling you know what! Cover in shrink with hype sticker, has a sawcut and a minor corner crease. The printed inner is partly split. US original.

One of the best LPs in the history of hip hop. "Straighten it out", "They reminisce over you" etc. Vinyl has plent of surface marks and some small scratches. Later (but still early) US mono pressing from mid-to-late 60s, black/white cover, white labels with black print, 156 5th Avenue address on labels and cover. Deep groove on A-side only, ear in dead wax on both sides, Bell Sound-stamp in dead wax on B-side. Nice and clean copy! Legendary free jazz album from the visionary Ayler with Gary Peacock and Sunny Murray. Listen to the deep "Ghosts: First Variation".
