JOHN COLTRANE - BLUE TRAIN:
US mono pressing, BLP 1577 with 47 West 63rd NYC-address, "R" on side 1 label, no "R" on side 2 label = early 3rd US mono pressing (just a year or so after the original pressing). Deep groove on both sides, RVG and ear in dead wax. Record has some surface marks and mild paleness (mainly on side 2), plays nicely with just odd light ticks and mild hiss audible in the quiet parts. Cover looks ok on front with just a few small worn spots top left, has partial splits and wear on top seam (repaired with glue and filled out with marker pen), back cover has BIEM-sticker, name written plus small piece of paper missing on lower part. A milestone in the history of jazz, essential LP. Listen to "Blue Train".
