BJÖRN ALKES KVARTETT - JAZZ I SVERIGE 1974:
LP from 1974 with Göran Strandberg, Gunnar Bergsten and Fredrik Noren. The whole album is quality jazz, but my favorite is "Intakt" (version of the tune also done by Bertil Strandberg on his rare "Cirrus" LP). Third Swedish pressing, CAP 1072 in non-gatefold cover with black Caprice-logo on front cover. With printed inner sleeve.

JOHN COLTRANE - IMPRESSIONS:
US mono pressing, A-42 with orange/black Abc Paramount Inc label. US pressing from 1965 (of 1963 original). Record with some light scuffs, affect play slighly at intro of "India". Glossy cover has minor wear primarly inside the foldout. Fantastic Coltrane LP with the mighty "Impressions" and "India".

JOHN COLTRANE - MY FAVORITE THINGS:
Wonderful jazz classic including the fantastic version of "My Favorite Things"! US stereo pressing, SD 1361 with red/green labels and Broadway-address = later pressing from late 60s/early 70s. Cover has a few long lamination creases (not in photo) and some edge wear.

MAX ROACH QUARTET - SPEAK, BROTHER, SPEAK:
Great classic recorded in 1962 with Clifford Jordan and Mal Waldron. Listen to "Speak Brother Speak". Later French pressing from the late 60s (of 1963 US original on Fantasy). Cover has a small punch hole on rear part.

The current rage of Italian disco/fusion, with a lovely sound throughout. Listen to "Nuova Napoli", "Disco Sole" or the Mr. Business-cover "Parev' Ajere". Later pressing run with The Carvery credit on back cover.

SVEN WUNDER - WABI SABI:
Wunder travels further east to the land of the rising sun for a musical exploration of the concept of Wabi Sabi, skillfully fusing European library and soundtrack sounds with traditional Japanese and East Oriental music and aesthetics. A wonderful listen through both sides, listen to "Hot Winds Arrive", "Hanami" and "Blanket Fog Descends". Later pressing with Swedish Arts Council-credit on back cover.

ALABASTER DEPLUME - TO CY & LEE: INSTRUMENTALS VOL. 1:
Quite breathtaking 2020 release by UK saxophonist Alabaster DePlume. Very mellow, fragile and melancholic sounds with traces of folk music and Ethio jazz, listen to "If You're Sure You Want To" and "Why, Buzzardman, Why". Warmly recommended! 11th anniversary reissue from 2025, includes new insert booklet and obi.

Stunning Ethio jazz/funk sides by this Ethiopian singer - check "Feqer Feqer New" and "Tashamanaletch" to start with, but the whole compilation comes recommended!

Really beautiful stuff and not at all as out-there as some of his 60s and 70s material. "Call For All Demons" is great, really a special track, but the rest of the album is very nice listening too. Beautiful high quality reissue complete with booklet. Single LP but postage as for two records due to the thick cover.
