OPTIMISTICS - SAME:
Rare and superb 1970 soul set. The crossover dancer "Say it baby" and the sweet soul ballad "Should I let myself go" are outstanding. If you like Whatnauts and things like that, you can't go far wrong here. Japanese reissue from 1990, with printed inner sleeve, without obi. Cover has some edge wear and faint humidity staining on back. The printed inner is a bit stained.

Massive box with 20 remastered LPs and a 16-page booklet with notes and images. Box cover has one corner split and one corner repaired with black tape.

JOE CHAMBERS - DOUBLE EXPOSURE:
Duo album together with Larry Young from 1978, getting hard to find. Contains "Mind rain" that was used by Nas for "NY state of mind". US remastered reissue on 180 grams.

Lovely album with Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, Billy Higgins and Butch Warren. Listen to "The Maze" or the classic "Watermelon Man". Record looks more or less unplayed, cover shows mild humidity spotting only. Japanese reissue from 1984, BNJ-71015 with insert but no obi.

COUNT BASIE & THE KANSAS CITY 7 - SAME:
Album from 1962 with Thad Jones, Frank Wess and Frank Foster in the setting. Check "Count's place". Audiophile 2xLP reissue from 2009, plays at 45 rpm. One LP is nice VG+, the other is EX. Gatefold cover is numbered on back.

Soul jazz set recorded in 1962 with Earl Van Dyke on organ, check "Preach Brother". Record in fine shape, cover has mild signs of storage on front. Japanese reissue from 1992, BN 4094 with insert but no obi.

Includes the funk jazz monster "Do You Believe" with hard drums and a great organ sound! Rest moves between more groove-orientated stuff as the version of "It's Your Thing" and deeper, spiritual parts as on "Space Rock" and "Saturday Night Evening".
