US mono original, BLP 4056 with 47 West 63rd address, deep groove, RVG and ear on both sides. R on labels. 43 W 61st address on cover. Record retains good gloss but has a lot of surface marks and one deep feelable scratch at whole of A2. It plays with background noise at big part of whole A-side but not any loud pops och clicks. B-side plays with rather much noise at the softer B2, the other tracks plays ok. The laminated cover has tiny corner wear and backside upper right corner has a sticker residue from removed sticker. Blue Note LP from 1961 with Hank Mobley, McCoy Tyner, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. Class through both sides, listen to "Blues for Brenda" on the clip.
US early 2nd mono pressing, BLP 1577 with 47 West 63rd NYC-address, no "R" on labels. Deep groove on both sides, RVG and ear in dead wax. Record has light marks, plays well generally with occasional soft surface noise. Cover has corner/edge wear, 21 cm bottom split, tiny sticker mark + small piece of tape on front, sticker & tape + tiny writing on back. A milestone in the history of jazz, essential LP. Afro-centric spiritual jazz with Mtume, Billy Hart and Andrew White. Strong listening through both sides but "Malika" and "Goin' Home" are my favourites. Record in fine shape with some minor marks. Cover has light wear, a few small paper bubbles. German original.
Recorded in 1970 but never released until 1995. The music is up there with the best of his 70's material. A strong recommendation if you like his other LP's from this time - listen to the wonderful "Kofi". US original. This copy is in shrink.
