US mono pressing, PR 7159 with yellow/black labels, Bergenfield-address, deep groove and RVG in dead wax = later (late 50s) pressing of LP first released in 1956 with different cover art as "Thelonious Monk Trio" (PRLP 7027). LOTS of marks and scratches on record, plays with background crackle and clicks but still listenable. Cover has clear tape + split on top seam and some shelf wear and aging (mainly on back). Monk recorded in 1952-1954 with Percy Heath, Art Blakey, Max Roach and Gary Mapp. Listen to "Blue Monk".
"New Bell" and "Soul Makossa" killer afro/funk tunes that have been so influential. Don't miss the jazzy "Hibiscus" either. Later French pressing from 1979 (of 1972 original).

US version of their 1964 debut, with a slightly different track listing. Record in fine shape with a few minor marks. Cover has some staining on front. US later pressing from 1972.

Cover has fraying on top seam, partial splits/fraying on lower seam, faint price tag mark on front, basic shelf wear and tracklisting writings on back. 1957 split LP recorded at Newport Jazz Festival. Listen to "Nona's Blues" by Cecil Taylor Quartet (featuring Steve Lacy). I believe this is the first Japanese pressing, possibly released mid-to-late 60s (of 1957 US original). MI-1071 in flipback cover. No obi or insert.
2xLP set from 1978 containing the great New Jazz-albums "Looking Ahead" and "The Quest", both featuring Eric Dolphy but originally released under Ken McIntyre's and Mal Waldron's names respectively.
One of Zappa's best early LP's, and very solid musically, but not without adventure. Listen to the wild "The return of the son of monster magnet". Records have light marks, they play well. Cover has ring/rub/edge wear, small top split back part of gatefold. US later pressing, black/silver labels.
Live set from 1967 featuring Joe Farrell, George Tucker & Alan Dawson. I'll go for the groovy, vibes-led "Alan's got rhythm". 3rd US pressing from 1972 with green labels.
