Huge box set with 12 LPs and one 2xLP. All records and covers between EX and NM. Outer box has light shelf wear at bottom, one mild corner bump. This is the French release from 1978.

SUN RA - JAZZ BY SUN RA VOL 1:
Really beautiful stuff and not at all as out-there as some of his 60s and 70s material. "Call For All Demons" is great, really a special track, but the rest of the album is very nice listening too. Beautiful high quality reissue complete with booklet. Single LP but postage as for two records due to the thick cover.

LP featuring John Gilmore, Charles Davis, Pat Patrick a.o, recorded in 1957. I really, really like this record - it's weird but accessible and lasts through many listens. True holy grail of European rare groove records, here on 4xLP box set containing the original 1972 double LP (for the first time reissued in its entirety) plus the material from the 2007 release "The Club 7 Live Tapes" (with recordings from the same two nights as the original LP). Includes the funk jazz monster "Do You Believe" with hard drums and a great organ sound! Rest moves between more groove-orientated stuff as the version of "It's Your Thing" and deeper, spiritual parts as on "Space Rock" and "Saturday Night Evening".

Vinyl is generally VG+, but a tiny scratch on A-side causes a couple of pops and a brief skip. 2xLP reissue from 2003 with better sound quality than the single LP. No shrink on this copy, unlike photo.
