Folk/soul album with a mellow version of Tim Hardin's "It'll never happen again" as the highlight for me. Swedish jazz from 2023, bordering on free jazz but still accessible, listen to "Livsfarlig I Hamn Oduglig Till Havs" and "Kampen". With Emil Strandberg, Anders Ahlén, Rasmus Borg, Vilhelm Bromander and Andreas Axelsson. First Signal And Sound-release in over 3 years and fans of the label will recognize themselves, both design- and soundwise - well worth the wait! Limited release, 300 copies only.

MIKE WESTHUES - NEW MORNING TRAIN:
Scarce country/folk album from 1972 with American musician/ssw, recorded in Finland with Finnish musicians. "Somewhere" is moody and beautiful. Record has small marks causing some soft clicks on A1+2. Cover has creasing, bent corner, small tear at opening. Finnish original.

US original, TRLP 30 with black/gold labels. No booklet. Record in fine shape save for a sharp scratch that ticks for the first 25 seconds of side A, rest plays well with a few odd ticks only. Cover has full splits on top and bottom seam, spine is a bit worn but hold together. Basic shelf wear and small worn spots on back. Compilation from 1957 with the cream of the artists who recorded for this collectable label: Sun Ra, Donald Byrd, John Pepper Adams, Cecil Taylor etc. The list of sidemen is equally impressive.
