SCEPTER - Netherlands Original
7" · EX/VG · 180 SEK
Two giants among soul singers take on two big hits. Very nice verison of "Never had it so good"! Pic sleeve looks great except for neat writing on front. Dutch original with 4-prong centre intact and clean labels.
Two of the 60s soul greats get one side each. Chuck does a big-sounding midtempo number, while Maxine's "Torture" is just an immense, banging northern slayer! 2014 reissue.
US mono pressing, Pacific Jazz PJ-3 with black/silver non-groove labels, large "high-fidelity" print on top, no World Pacific logos - I believe this is a slightly later (possibly 3rd) but still early pressing. Plenty of marks and lines on record, still glossy and plays loud and clear with minor distractions only. Cover has ring wear, 7 cm split on bottom seam right, initials written on front, large sticker tear on back (white-on-white so not too ugly). Great LP with Zoot Sims, Jack Montrose & Bob Gordon. Real quality through both sides - listen to "Tiny Capers".
Mid-70s compilation featuring material from Clifford Brown's & Max Roach's EmArcy-albums from the mid-50s. Cover has a small sticker and tear on back. Dutch pressing.

Early JB album, the slow "I don't mind" and the rocking "Have mercy baby" are my picks. Reissue.
